In 1972 the first vine was planted and since then La Mare Wine Estate has matured and developed into a six acre commercial vineyard, distillery and popular tourist attraction.

This 20 acre working Estate makes some of the island's legacy recipes such as Jersey Black Butter preserve, as well as its own contemporary produce inspired by the island's abundance of fresh produce.

In response to increasing demand for genuine Jersey produce La Mare Wine Estate creates an extensive range of preserves, handcrafted confectionary and an iconic selection of wines, ales, ciders, liqueurs and spirits.

La Mare is a Green Tourism Gold standard attraction, awarded for sustainable tourism through the undertaking and adherance of 20 specific actions. These actions are part of a charter that takes into account the needs of the environment, local residents, businesses, and visitors; now and in the future.
